One challenge which all writers would face is how to keep the writing part of your mind free of clutter and interference from the other part which runs the rest of your life. It would be so good if we could partition our minds like our computer -- C drive for all worldly things, D drive for writing and only writing. Probably great writers get close to achieving this. When they are working out of their D drives, they hear nothing in C drive. It is as if C drive is in a state of 0 Kelvin temperature (if you remember your high school science!), when all motion stops and not a single atom moves.
